Blog Header

What the heck is the deal. I can never get my blog header the right size no matter how many times I try. But at least this one is better than the last one. And yes...it is 12:19 am and I am sitting up playing with my blog instead of studying for the two final exams I have tomorrow!

Good Night!

It's all about him...

Today my little guy turns two. I still can't believe that my baby boy is getting so big and becoming his own little person. So this is for him.
You drive me wild in more ways than one. You have a determination like no other. While that determination has helped you to overcome a lot....it also is the cause of way to many fits throughout the day. You want what you want when you want it and you only get louder if you don't get it. For this very reason mommy is still holding on to the pacifier b/c you would never survive a trip to the grocery store without screaming and sometimes putting your pacifier in will stop the madness.
You are so routine...just like your dear mommy. WE must have milk at a certain time and juice at a certain time everyday and the milk goes in a different style cup than the juice does. You have to "hold dat", which means hold the top to the cup while I fix it for you...every single time! You love your bed! And so does mommy. You go to bed at 8:15 every night and may wake up around 8:00 or 8:30 but won't get out of your bed so you sit in there and play until around 9:00. Even then you cry when I pull you out of there. You have to have certain toys in your bed before nap and bed time even though you throw them all out before you fall asleep!

You love to be outside. You would walk on your daddy's heels all day outside if you were old enough. EVERY single time we go outside, we have to pull you back in kicking and screaming! EVERY SINGLE TIME!
You are super strong...

And you love your Ry RyWe call you Big Big and you also call yourself Big Big. You call your daddy by his real name...Paul. You have finally came out of your shell and are starting to detach from mommy (sniff sniff) a little more. I don't know how much you weigh right now b/c I am afraid to take you to the pediatricians office b/c I don't want to catch swine flu...and I don't want you to either. Your vocabulary is exploding and you can tell me what you want...even if other people can't understand it. I kind of like having a secret language with you. You love to throw things, just random things, especially at your sister! Poor Rylee!!! But even still, the two of you have a bond that I never would have thought given the age difference.

Most importantly I plan on having a good year. For the first time we hope to have an entire year free of Dr.'s and Therapies and will enjoy watching you be exactly what you are...all BOY!!!

I love you my Big Big!!!

Little of this and a lot of that

I've been doing so much school work that I realized last night me and the kids haven't went out to play in the evenings like usual. It was a good thing it wasn't to hot last night b/c they had lots of energy to burn off. Of course I took pictures....

There was a little of this...

And a whole lot of that...

Now if only I could figure out how to bottle up that energy and sell it or heck...keep it all for myself!!!

Not to be confused with Addison

I did some pictures of itty bitty MADDISON (not Addison) about a week ago! She was so precious and just plain tiny! History on the names...My sister and her oldest daughter were having babies at around the same time. Well my sister liked the name Addison, so that was official. Then her oldest daughter liked the name Maddison so she wanted to use that. Well I told them and told them and told them not to do that b/c those two names are to close for two kids in the same family. So here we are, calling Maddison Addison and Addison Maddison and me standing in the background saying I told you so! Now if I am not mistaken both of them have said they wished they would have used other names.

Back to the pictures. When I took these pictures of MADDISON I swear she was still smaller than both of my kids were when they were born. So tiny and so precious. I just wanted to keep her in my pocket and name her Chloe...but that's a whole different story.

What day is it anyways???

Well it's 12:02 am on Thursday night and yet again there is thunder outside. I am still sitting here trying to research burglary in a local county for a speech I have due next week. It would help if I didn't have trouble saying the word burglary...I'm sure my class mates will get a kick out of that. Anyways, we have a group speech due, a one hour group speech to be exact. I hate speaking in front of people. My voice shakes, my hands sweat and I can't focus but I'm almost done. One more speech and I finally after three starts and no finishes, will have completed this dang college speech class. Never again will I have to do this...or at least I hope not. I can't help but be afraid that maybe God sent me through this class to prepare me for something but right now, I care not to think about it.

Anyways, sorry I have been MIA from the blog lately but don't worry , in just two short weeks the quarter will be over and I will have a break. But before I blog I must clean my house b/c in all honesty it hasn't been cleaned since the quarter started. Don't tell any one that. Then the end of September will be here before I know it and I will be taking two new classes. It's a never ending cycle.

Teg's second birthday is fast approaching and there is something about this birthday that makes it much harder than the 1st. I guess the thought that my last baby is definitely not a baby any more. We will feast on birthday cake and open tons of gifts that he doesn't need nor does he play with. Hint to those giving my son a b-day gift...he wears a size 2T and in great need of winter clothes and pajamas.

Rylee would like for me to tell the world that she got the new Hannah Montana movie. I don't even have to go in to detail on here of how much the sounds of that movie screaming from her bedroom is driving me crazy! Her very unclean bedroom might I add. She tricked her grandma in to buying it for her. She had already asked her daddy and he said not right now. Well she immediately said that she would just ask grandma. Her daddy told her she better not. The first chance she got her grandma alone...she got the movie! Need I say more! She's been doing that lately. A couple of weeks ago she talked her paw paw in to coming to get her and take her out to eat and to walmart where he also bought her a movie and something else I can't even remember. Then the very next day she asked grandma to "spend some time with her" and got her to take her to walmart also. I'm pretty sure "spend some time with her" translates in to "spend some money on me" but I'm not sure.

This concludes tonight's late night randomness!!! Hope you enjoyed.

A new creation

So I just love to make things and I love the computer so what better thing to do than to combine those two loves and start designing some things. I have started designing birth announcements, birthday invitations, shower invitations and more. I love doing this and must admit I have become a little addicted. Instead of doing my homework at night like I should be, I have been glued to the computer making these things. I don't know if this will go anywhere or not but it's fun! I am offering some of these at Polka Dot Pixie so stop by if interested.

Sweet kids turned crazy...

So since Rylee has started back school, I have it all figured out. Tegan is all sweet and independent while Rylee is at school but the minute she walks in the door...it's all over!!! They begin to fight and have lots of sibling rivalry and lets just say there is a whole lot of screaming going on around here. Rylee has developed some new and very scary attitude. I say scary b/c it makes me totally afraid of the fact that if she is like this now...how will she be as a teenager. But then comes bath time. Sometimes they take a bath together and play and its the best the act toward each other all day!!!! But my favorite would have to be bedtime:)

About a month ago I took them to the park one morning. Just me and them! I totally forgot to ever post pictures about it but I have to say that it was a totally pleasant morning. You know, if you block out the part where there was a pervert on the playground inching ever closer to my six year old. Which meant it was time to get the heck out of there!!! But up until that strange situation we had a great time and Tegan was in heaven getting to walk.

My favorite picture of the day!

Once he figured out the old bread didn't taste good....he finally started feeding the ducks!

There was no shortage of ducks to feed!

When did this kids legs get so long????

Moving right along

Well this week while there was what I believe to be a full blown tornado going on outside while I did some pictures of sweet little Addison Lynn. I never confirmed if she is 8 or 9 weeks old but her mom probably doesn't even remember...this is her sixth child. Back to the weather...I'm pretty sure my sister thought that the end of the world was here and she had left all her other children at home. The weather suddenly got horrible just as she walked in the door. Things were flying through the air. Our neighbors up the street literally had their trampoline wrap around a tree. Seriously it is bent in half...you can see it standing on its side from the road. It didn't last very long but it was long enough for our power to go out. Pretty much the whole time I was doing Addie's pictures, the power was out and it was getting hot FAST! Not to mention Tegan heard Shannon's voice from his baby bed during what was suppose to be nap time and was yelling "GET OUT" very loudly!!! But we managed and ended up with some great pictures. As always, the black and whites are my favorites!!!!

One of those days...

Do you ever just have one of those days??? My head hurts, Rylee has started her teenage years way to early, Tegan is in the awful terrible terrible 2's, I woke up late for class this morning, had to do a speech today, take a test tonight and did I mention that my head hurts.

Looks like Teg is having one of those days too....he dressed himself all wrong....

INK

INK stands for Interactive Neighborhood for Kids, a children's hands on museum. I think INK should stand for I'm Now Krazy b/c that is how us two adults felt when we left there. Me and Larkin had this crazy idea to venture out to take our kids to do something last week. Well had the weather cooperated and we followed through with a trip to a fenced in splash pad, I think we would have been fine. But it was cloudy and threatening rain all day so we decided to find something inside to do. Larkin pulled me by my hair talked me in to going to this "great" place called INK. Well it is great and really fun for kids but not their mommy...especially their extremely germaphobic mommy!!!! We walked through the doors and literally all three kids ran in three different directions. Now the math didn't add up on that since there were only two adults. We took them in to a small little play room where the two girls were playing nicely and my son was so happy to have found a car to play with. The only problem was that when we were ready to leave that room and go to another, Teg was not ready to let go of that car and therefore threw an ALL OUT FIT for pretty much THE REST OF THE TIME we were there. I mean I even had to find a corner a couple of times and just block him in it while he screamed and threw his body in different directions. Even though it was extremely loud in there from all the kids running around playing, people were still looking at us like "Get that kid out of here!" Rylee would want to do something different than the little kids so I would run with her for a second and that would leave Larkin literally being pulled apart by two different almost two year olds pulling her in opposite directions. An hour was the most me and her could take before we walked as fast as we could toward the Exit sign without breaking the no running rule that they had posted all over the place. I drove way over the speed limit just to get home. I dropped Larkin and KB off and headed home. I'm pretty sure that before I could make it home, Larkin was in a deep coma sleep with a pretty bad headache.
The moral of this story...next time me and Larkin will plan better and don't take your kids to INK without man on man supervision!!!!

notice all the drool on Teg's shirt...that's where he had been screaming!!!

That would be the famous truck he screamed for in his hands!!!
