Sew loving it!

I have taken a couple of different bag patterns that I had and combined them to come up with this style. I made myself one with a longer handle but thought it might be a little to long so I did this one and just made the handle part shorter. I thought it turned out great. I made it for my mom for Mother's Day.

I had a great and busy Mother's Day. We tried to take pictures but there wasn't much cooperation from the youngest family member....

A girl and her toes

On Saturday morning I got Rylee up bright and early (or she got me up) and we headed out on a girls only adventure. I didn't tell her where we were going so she was so excited and guessed all kinds of things that would have been way cooler except the one thing we were going to do. We went and sat down for a nice breakfast besides the lady at the table next to us on her cell phone who was crying and yelling at the poor child in front of her. Anyways, we then went and both had our nails and toes done. Now I know you are thinking this isn't a big deal but Rylee has been begging to do this for a very long time and I decided it was time. What makes it an even bigger deal is that I can't remember a time that me and Rylee have went and just done something fun just the two of us....let's face it, I don't get out much!!! She had a french mani/pedi and then had a design put on her two big toes and her thumbs. She pranced around like a queen the rest of the day. She was so funny b/c she couldn't understand the foreign lady at the nail place and when they started talking to each other in another language she about fell out of her chair.



On the car ride home she was singing along with the music and suddenly stopped and said "this has been the best girls morning, thank you for taking us", that made it well worth risking getting a nail fungus!

New Life Part 1

This is titled part 1 b/c in the next couple of months my immediate family will grow by 3 babies...starting with today!!! My brother and sister-in-law welcomed a 7 lb 5 oz baby boy they named Konner Thomas. In the next few weeks my sister will add another little girl to the family as well as my niece(the daughter of the sister having the baby...another post another time) will be having a girl sometime in July. I guess you could call this our own personal baby boom!!!

Oh did I mention I got a new camera!!!!! These were taken with that super nice new Mother's Day present I got. I felt like a real photographer shooting pictures left and right today. It didn't even matter that my family was making fun of me for being camera/picture obsessed!!!

GUESS WHAT I GOT?!?!?!

Who says briberysubliminal messages don't work!!!!! Today my husband came home with a Canon Rebel SLR in hand for my early Mother's Day Gift! He went ahead and gave it to me so that I could learn to use it before Sunday. I love it love it love it!!!! I have taken 80 pictures just since 4:00 today and they are awesome. I don't have them uploaded yet b/c I have to install the software on here but I am super excited!!!! Best Husband ever (he wants to make sure that although Rylee is taking credit for it that he did it and it was all him)!

Mom of the Year!!!

My sweet and totally funny friend sent me this video and I just died laughing watching it over and over again. The last comment about pulling your hair back in to a ponytail is so true about me. You have to watch this....you can personalize it and send it to other moms.

Here's pictures from another Sunday morning before church. The only places Tegan will look at the camera is if his back is against the wall or if he is sitting on the coffee table. Rylee...well she is always ready for a picture.

He is always watching Rylee to see what she is doing so that he can copy her!
